Evangelical Library Plan to Move to North London.
(2009)
We apologise that there has been so little news from us in recent months. We recognise that members of the Christian public are keen to hear from us and know that all is well with the Library. However, it is often difficult to know what can and cannot be shared. Your continued prayers are appreciated then at a time when there has been so little news.
It has been particularly difficult to say anything while the delicate and sometimes difficult negotiations over the sale of the leasehold on the property in Chiltern Street have been going on. We had thought we were in a position to announce something back in the Autumn of last year but then the situation changed and we were forced to engage in further protracted negotiations.
At this point, however, we are glad to be able to announce that we have now at last been able to sell the leasehold on the Chiltern Street premises to our landlord. A number of books from our former second floor have had to be put into temporary storage and so are unavailable for use for the time being. A temporary arrangement is now in place, however, allowing us to retain the use of the top floor for a little while, as we complete the second part of the equation, the move to new premises in the north London area.
With regard to new premises a number of options are under consideration at present and we hope shortly to announce where we will be. Your continued prayers are coveted for the decision on where to move and for the move itself.
Meanwhile please do not forget the annual lecture.
